Co-founder and president of Xiaomi Lin Bin in the Chinese social network Weibo published a photo of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. The smartphone will be presented in October. It looks very cool:
Slider! And not like Oppo Find X or Honor Magic 2, but normal, where the case of the smartphone is divided into two halves. Just like in zero!
However, there is a small problem with the image – this is editing. Smartphone drew the camera’s eyes, and also “inserted” the display:
See how the part of the smartphone is blurred next to the battery charge, but the screen borders remain clear. Also, the camera’s eyes look unnatural.
There is a possibility that the montage came because of poor picture quality: the camera’s eyes were not visible in the photo, and the screen was simply turned off. Or the display is smaller than the photo size. In general, Xiaomi, I smell the fake in the morning!
But the key in this smartphone is its form factor. Here is a living sample:
Mechanical slider! They can clap, and not just twirl in their hands! Oh, how I missed all these ideas of zero!
Product Director Xiaomi Donovan Song published another photo. It shows a smartphone similar to Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. On the screen you can see the icon of the fifth generation networks:
The smartphone is photographed against the background of the testing station NR5G. The photo is a sign of a successful fifth-generation network test.
We do not know exactly what kind of smartphone it is. It can be either Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 or “mule” based on it.
Xiaomi tends to become if not the first, then be among them. The first smartphone with support for 5G has already come out – it’s a Motorola Z3, but the implementation of the fifth generation network module is very strange. Whether or not this module will be in the gadget, consumers, frankly, are not very important – as long as there is no ubiquitous deployment of these networks by operators, it is senseless to buy a smartphone with their support.
The company should pay close attention to other questions: how will the form factor “slider” play on the performance of the smartphone, what thickness will the body have, what capacity will the battery have, and how reliable will this sliding mechanism be? But while Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 looks very tempting. We are waiting for October!
