One might think that Apple simply wants to have time to earn more on more expensive models before releasing more affordable, but sources say that the reason is different.
It is reported that the reason for the problems with LCD displays for the youngest of the new products, which is strange, given that they are manufactured using Apple’s usual IPS technology. As for the details, there are several different reasons, which, perhaps, take place all at once.
Firstly, there were reports of problems with light scattering in the cutout area, secondly, problems with the required production volume from Japan Display, and thirdly, some programmatic problems already from Apple.
In any case, according to a senior analyst at Canalys, Apple will delay the release of a new smartphone only if the device is not ready for mass deliveries. Apparently, it happened. And this is the second year in a row when the company was not able to prepare all models for an exit in one period.
