South Korean company Samsung introduced a GPS tracker with support for LTE – SmartThings Tracker.
For spyware purposes, such a “bug” can not be used. It is designed specifically for tracking personal effects. For example, you can use it instead of a key fob, and always know where they are. You can attach it to the child’s backpack, and be calm for his location. You can also hang it on your pet’s collar, which will help you find it if it escapes. Even with his help, you can track your luggage.
SmartThings Tracker transfers information about its location to a special SmartThings application on the smartphone. Also, it has a separate button, after double-clicking on it, geolocation will be instantly transmitted.
SmartThings Tracker can be used with a smart home system as an arrival and departure sensor. He can send information about the arrival of the owner, for example, the lighting system will react.
The device is protected by the IP68 standard. Sales start on September 14 at a price of 99 dollars with a free annual subscription from AT & T. In the future, this subscription will cost $ 50 per year.
