The American processor giant Qualcomm introduced its first processor from the new 700-series Snapdragon 710. The manufacturer promises that the new chip will be 20% more powerful than the Snapdragon 660.
Features of Snapdragon 710
Snapdragon 710 will be a stripped-down version of the flagship Snapdragon 845 and, possibly, on performance will be at the level of 835 chips. The novelty is based on the new Kryo 360 cores, with an entirely different approach to the layout of the cores. The processor has two high-performance cores at 2.2 GHz and six energy efficient at 1.7 GHz. For the graphics will answer chip Adreno 616, which is 35% more powerful and 40% more energy efficient than Adreno 512 in Snapdragon 660.
Among other features of the novelty is the Qualcomm Snapdragon X15 LTE modem, which provides downloading at 800 Mbps and transmission at a speed of 150 Mbps. Snapdragon 710 has already been sent to smartphone manufacturers. It is expected that the first smartphones based on it will appear in June.
