Technology does not stand still, not only in the creation of smartphones, gadgets for smart homes, portable electronics. Useful consumer devices are created for cars. It’s about video recorders and radar detectors. And if earlier these devices were separated from each other, now you can find a hybrid, which combines the functions of video fixing and detection and warning radar. In this review, just about these and we’ll talk – Neoline X-COP 9100 and Neoline X-COP 9700s.

Main differences
We decided not to separate these two devices in different surveys, because they are very similar in terms of their main purpose – video fixing and radar detection. And the differences are in the design and some functions.
The first thing that catches your eye – the stylish case Neoline X-COP 9700s, it looks very attractive and was awarded the Red Dot Design Award. Another difference is the display model. The Neoline X-COP 9700s is a 2.8-inch touchscreen, which contains a little more information when it comes to radar notification. And in Neoline X-COP 9100 the display is normal, and its diagonal is 2 inches. But the Neoline X-COP 9100 has 2 memory card slots. The recording is made on the first card, and the second one can be attached to the protocol if necessary. There is a Neoline X-COP 9100 and one more unusual feature – Motion Control. With its help, with just a gesture of your hand, you can turn off the hybrid’s audio notifications.
Another functional feature of the Neoline X-COP 9700s, which distinguishes it from the Neoline X-COP 9100, is the ability to control the movement in the band. This function can be set to automatically turn on when a certain speed is reached. This function warns about the exit from the strip and thus can save from collision with other participants of the movement, caused by fatigue or distraction of attention.
Videography
Both hybrids can shoot video in Full HD or HD resolution at a speed of 30 or 15 frames per second. The video quality can be adjusted. On the removed rollers car numbers and other details are well discernible. The viewing angle of the optics at 135 degrees creates a fairly wide picture. Sharpness of the picture during shooting is also adjusted. It is worth noting the presence of the WDR function, which improves the quality of video in difficult lighting conditions – for example, at night or towards the sun. In general, both hybrids are perfectly removed during the day and well at night, even though the X-COP 9100 does not have a night mode.

Both hybrids work well in parking mode. A recording will start only after the G-sensor or motion sensor is triggered. This function is useful for fixing unpleasant situations when someone in the parking lot can hit the car or scratch it.
Radar detector
First, Neoline X-COP 9700s and X-COP 9100 have 4 detection modes: city, route, turbo and smart X-COP mode. The latter is designed for automatic mode switching depending on the speed of movement. These modes affect the alerts of radars and lock cameras. The higher the speed, the farther from the object of tracking the radar detector will turn on the alert.
Secondly, both hybrids are equipped with a GPS-base of police radars. Thanks to the GPS / GLONASS alert module come in a timely manner. Plus, in devices it is possible to set the priority of notification by GPS or module. This excludes situations where police radars are detected twice: using a radio module and a GPS hybrid database. Radar and camera bases of 45 countries are available. As for updating the GPS-base, this process is possible through downloading the database from the site Neoline.

Third, Neoline X-COP 9700s and X-COP 9100 are capable of detecting police radars in the X, K, Ka, Laser ranges. Separately, the range of the Arrow’s radar is displayed. Usually, police use such radars on intercity roads. In general, the determination on the radio module works stably, but it can depend on the tortuosity of the road.
Separately, it is worth mentioning the filter Z signatures. This technology was developed in Neoline and its task is to reduce the number of false positives. And most often these triggers come from the detection of signals from sensors of dead zones in other cars.
conclusions
Neoline X-COP 9700s and Neoline X-COP 9100 are decent gadgets for car enthusiasts. This is primarily DVRs and with the recording of the video, they cope perfectly. The detection of police radar and camera fixation occurs in a timely manner and it is unlikely to miss the notification. But if they start bothering you, you can adjust the volume, and in the X-COP 9100 use a gesture to mute the sound. Despite the completely different appearance of these hybrids, the devices are very similar. They are distinguished only by a few basic functions. Therefore, you need to choose between hybrids based on your budget. Neoline X-COP 9100 is cheaper and in Kazakhstan, it can be purchased for 105,000 tenges. Well, the cost of Neoline X-COP 9700s with a little more functionality is 130,000 tenge. Yes, it’s quite a serious purchase,
