Nokia: high-quality camera phones are expected: Finnish company HMD Global, in the power of which mobile unit Nokia, last week bought the brand PureView. Initially, Nokia introduced the brand PureView in 2012, then, together with the mobile division of the company, he moved to the possession of Microsoft for several years, now Nokia has returned its back.
PureView is a brand of cameras that were installed in Nokia smartphones. The first such device was Nokia 808 PureView, which worked on Symbian OS. Its main feature was a 41-megapixel camera. Then, when Nokia finally fell into the trap of Microsoft and began to release smartphones only on Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumia 1020 device was presented, with a powerful PureView camera module also at 41 Mp.
August 23, a deal was made, according to which the PureView brand passes from Microsoft to the mobile unit of Nokia (HMD Global). Now we can expect that Nokia will again regain the laurels of the brand, which produces smartphones with the best quality cameras on the market. According to some media outlets, the PureView brand can already be used in Nokia 9, which is expected on IFA 2018.
