The company Lenovo introduced the first 15-inch model of the line ThinkPad. Novelty – X1 Extreme – has an aluminum casing, a solid carbon fiber cover and a typical for its series design with a proprietary red TrackPoint on the keyboard.
The weight of the laptop – from 1.7 kilograms, which is 12% less than the popular model ThinkPad T580. The laptop has the latest Intel Core processors of the 8th generation (Coffee Lake), including 6-core i9 with vPro, up to 64 GB of RAM and a discrete video card Nvidia GeForce 1050Ti MaxQ. The maximum amount of SSD SSD-drives PCIe – 2 terabytes.
Depending on the configuration, the ThinkPad X1 Extreme can be installed 15.6-inch UHD (3840×2160 pixels) or Full HD (1920×1080) touchscreen with IPS-matrix. The set of ports includes two USB 3.1, two Thunderbolt 3, SD-slot and HDMI 2.0.
The battery lasts up to 15 hours of work, they say in Lenovo. There is support for Rapid Charge fast charge technology, thanks to which the laptop battery is charged up to 80% of the nominal capacity in 60 minutes. As the OS, the “professional” version of Windows 10 is used.
The prices and release date of ThinkPad X1 Extreme in Russia are not specified. In the US, the novelty will be available in September at a price of $ 1859.99. The most heaped model with Intel Core i9 will begin to sell in December.
