In anticipation of the launch of a separate application for purchases, Instagram continues to expand commercial functions. Today the company announced that it would add a “Shopping” tab to the recommendations page. Now users will be able to browse the ribbon with the goods and buy them directly from the sellers. Also, Instagram for the first time will allow sellers to add stickers to posts in the “History”, which will allow buyers to make purchases by clicking on the goods.
Shopping is an increasingly popular activity on Instagram, which belongs to Facebook. According to the service, 90 million users a month click on the tags of commercial companies. More than 25 million companies have accounts on Instagram, and 2 million of them buy ads on Facebook.
