EE is the UK communications operator and the first company that supports Smart Number technology for Apple mobile devices. It allows you to call, receive calls, exchange messages with any supported device connected to the iPhone. It can be an iPad, an Apple Watch or even a Mac.
The feature is supported on all iPhone, starting with the sixth generation. Also, iOS 11.3 or later is required for work. At the same time, eSIM for a connected device is not needed – it is enough just to connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data. It is important to note that the service is free, however, it only works in the UK. But there is a way out: if the user leaves an iPhone connected to Wi-Fi in England, while the auxiliary devices will be in another country, the technology will work.
The service is available in the iPhone thanks to a feature built into iOS. It is called “Wi-Fi calls on supported devices”.
In the UK, you can receive calls to the iPhone via Apple Watch or iPad
