The popular social network Instagram continues to add new features to its application. This time the company decided to add the repost function of the publication. This is reported by The Verge.
Rumors that Instagram may appear reposts have been going for a long time. The company itself for a long time resisted this function, explaining this by the fact that it can bring development of fake news and trolling to the social network. However, The Verge managed to get a couple of screenshots of the new repost function. As the publication explains, the function is now at an early stage of development, which proves the untruthfulness of previous rumors about the introduction of reposts into the application. Reposts will work on the retweet method on Twitter, where the original publication appears under the name of the reverted user, but with reference to the original account.
Also this week there was an update of the Instagram application for iOS and Android, in which gif-animations were added to Direct. Now users in the Instagram can exchange not only messages, photos, and videos, but also send each other “gifs.” The function works the same as the one in History, using the GIPHY service. Available search for “gifs”, animations from the top, as well as the ability to send a random “gifs”.
