Chinese company Huawei is preparing a huge tablet with a foldable 8-inch display. According to rumors, the company is ready to present this smartphone in November of this year. Apparently, it is a device described in the patent Huawei, which appeared in the press in April.
The smartphone in this patent is described as a kind of device in the form of a book, that is, it can be doubled, and in the decomposed state it can be turned into a tablet. The display for this device is developed by the company BOE Technology Group, which last year showed the capabilities of its screens and demonstrated a similar device. Such screens have a plastic base, which allows them to bend and unbend without damage. True, 100% of reliability such displays still cannot provide, and there is still no interface optimized for them. That is, theoretically, Huawei can present such a smartphone, because the technology already allows it, but in practice, it will be either very limited sales, or simply an image announcement without the arrival of the smartphone at retail.
