HP Chromebook x360 14″ 2-in-1

The Chromebook x360 14c is a svelte silver-grey slab with a chrome four-slash HP emblem on the lid, which seals with such a tight magnetic seal that it must be pried open. With dimensions of 0.7 by 12.8 by 8.6 inches, it’s small enough to fit into a briefcase, but it’s too big to carry in your hands instead of on your lap in tablet mode—at 3.64 pounds, the HP is a full pound heavier than the 14-inch Asus Chromebook Flip C436.

A USB Type-C port is located on the laptop’s left and right sides, and it can be used to attach the AC adapter. The power button, a volume rocker, and a tiny sliding switch that disables the webcam are all located on the left side. A USB Type-A port (with a drop-jaw configuration similar to some laptop Ethernet ports), an audio jack, and a microSD card slot are located on the right. The Chromebook x360 14c supports the new wireless standards, including 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) and Bluetooth 5.0.

If you’re looking for a Chromebook and have about $600 to spend on a good convertible-style model, you’re in for a treat.

Acer Chromebook 311

Acer Chromebook 311The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 is a wonderful little Chromebook with a lot of flexibility, as well as fun interaction and usability. Simply using the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 is a pleasure, and the device’s design and build quality are evident as soon as you take it out of the case.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 has a sleek and understated design that sticks to black to be as unobtrusive as possible, while the diamond-shaped pattern detailing on the back of the screen is also a pleasant touch.

The screen is decent, but it’s a bit of a two-edged sword. On the one side, it’s a simple, easy-to-use touchscreen that’s also tough, thanks to Gorilla glass protection; on the other hand, it’s a little too small and dim. Having far too many Chrome tabs open, running and listening to YouTube – or Spotify – at the same time, and texting on apps all at the same time never shows any stuttering or trouble that the AMD-based hardware, backed by 4GB of RAM, can’t handle.
As a result, the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 is a fantastic machine: it’s affordable, fun, and flexible, and it can do anything that other, more powerful Chromebooks can. If you’re looking for a Chromebook that will get you through a second working day, the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 isn’t for you.

Apple MacBook Pro 13.3-Inch Laptop

pple MacBook Pro 13.3-Inch Laptop

The Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro is the company’s entry-level Pro laptop, offering the best price/performance ratio in the lineup. You get faster performance and longer battery life for $300 more than the MacBook Air. The MacBook Pro has a Touch Bar and has a maximum SSD storage capacity of 2TB. It has a battery life of up to 17 hours and comes with the most recent Magic Keyboard.

While the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U-powered Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 proved to be a strong contender in our M1 chip test, the MacBook Pro 13-inch (M1, 2020) still outperforms the competition in almost every way, as you’ll see in our MacBook analysis. It may be one of Apple’s most significant launches to date. its have only two USB-C ports. The keyboard is the same Magic Keyboard that came with the 13-inch MacBook Pro earlier this year. At the time, this was a welcome improvement, as it replaced the infamous Butterfly switch keyboard, which was notorious for its lack of reliability.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet 2-in-1 Laptop

Lenovo Chromebook Duet 2-in-1 Laptop

The Duet may be marketed as a “2-in-1 Chromebook,” but it feels more like a ChromeOS-powered tablet that can also be used as a makeshift laptop with the included keyboard. This gives the unit a lot of flexibility, whether you choose to use it to write essays or keep it in your hands while watching movies. You can also scribble and doodle if you buy the stylus separately. I can pick up the Duet with two fingers without pressure because it is so small and light. The 10-inch screen is thin, but that makes it easy to slip into a small bag and pick up by small children.

The keyboard is also very good, with surprisingly good key travel and the keyboard remaining durable even after I slammed my fingers against it. It’s simple to connect to the tablet’s underside and goes to work almost immediately. I’ve had the occasional technical hiccup where the mouse indicator does not appear, but reconnecting the keyboard always resolved the issue.

The Lenovo Chromebook Duet has a fantastic 10.1-inch touchscreen with Full HD resolution for crisp images and an IPS panel with vibrant colours.

It’s so physically insubstantial and decent enough at simple tasks that it’s convenient to recommend for about $300. The Chromebook Duet isn’t going to be a hardcore gaming rig or a complex video-editing tool, but it will be a handy little campus companion for students who prioritise mobility and ease of use over raw results.
