Asus prepares a lot of motherboards on chipset Intel Z390 – just last week we published images of 11 models. But as it turns out, will also have a model 12, and very, very interesting. It’s called Maximus XI Extreme.
The image model is one thing, but it well demonstrates the features of the product. First, it is size – E-ATX. Large size fits the flagship solution. Second, the device has OLED display – it’s built into the housing of the connectors. Judging by the picture, this screen can display CPU frequency, but there should be more opportunities – at least it is logical to see the temperature display of CPU and memory.
Finally, the third and most remarkable feature – the presence of the fifth slot for RAM. This is no ordinary slot: it is designed for the installation of modules DC DIMM (Double Capacity DIMMs), has twice the volume compared to the standard. Are already preparing, for example, G. Skill.
Asus Maximus XI Extreme has also received two octal sockets for supplying power to the CPU, three PCIe x16 slots and six SATA 6 GB/s.
